A Miracle In Atlanta

Did God Do Something In Your Life Today?

You never know when a miracle will happen. On Sunday, May 21st, 2017, a 6-year-old girl named Princes Jackson was watching TV in her Atlanta home with her brothers when a bullet crashed through the wall and hit her in the neck. A child should never have to worry about adult fights, gang wars or any of the other nightmares that people face every day. Parents should not have to worry about their children either, but they do.

Can you imagine the horror of something like that happening to your child? It’s a parent’s worst nightmare. Her mother said “They say it is a miracle that the bullet went in and came out because something like that, it usually hits major arteries,” said Latimer. “An inch or two to the left or to the right, my baby, would have been paralyzed, but she’s not.”

This little girl suffered a severe injury that she will remember for the rest of her life. I believe the other thing she will remember is the miracle that prevented that bullet from being a fatal hit. Was this a miracle? Was it a God Thing? We never know when or why God will step in to help someone but we know for sure that he does. It’s always God’s choice and we need to be thankful when he chooses us or someone we love.

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

1 Pound, 5.5 Ounce Miracle Baby

A miracle baby is just one example of the God Things in our lives. There are so many times when the Lord enters our lives. We never know when it will happen or why we can just accept it and be grateful. Read how little Zara started out in this world and the miracle behind her story. When we let go and allow God to control our lives the miracle around us become clear.

John 14:1 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.”

God Is Good All The Time – All The Time God Is Good

 A Challenge For Us All

God Is Good All The Time. This is a phrase we hear and say many times a year at church. When you stop and think about the meaning it’s incredible to know that God can be good all the time. Not just occasionally and not just on Sundays, but all the time. That is an incredible challenge for us but one worth pursuing. Every day we should give it our best to be good, to think of others and remember that God is watching. Be observant of the God Things that are happening in your life and the challenge to be good can become easier. Do you find that when you’re in a good mood it’s easy to feel enthusiastic? Then when you’re in a bad mood it’s hard to feel good about anything. So imagine if you’re good all the time how positive the impact can be in your life.

God knows we are all sinners and none of us is perfect. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try. I don’t know what will happen on judgment day. What I do know is that I want to have done good things in my life. To have been a good husband, good father, a good grandfather and have done good works. To have been honest, giving and have helped others. I want there to be God Things that I have helped to create in someone else’s life.

James 2:14-17 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
